Elite Island Resorts Adds Pineapple Beach Club Antigua to Its Portfolio
Leading Caribbean resort group adds a fourth Antigua property to its portfolio
Elite Island Resorts proudly announces the addition of Pineapple Beach Club Antigua (formerly known as Sandals’ Grand Pineapple Beach Resort Antigua). Pineapple Beach Club Antigua is the fourth all-inclusive beachfront resort in Antigua to join Elite Island Resorts’ portfolio of nine hotels located throughout the Caribbean and Panama.
Chairman Robert Barrett is extremely pleased to welcome back this famed location to the Elite Island Resorts group. Barrett, who originally owned and developed the resort from 1986 to 1998, said, “Pineapple Beach Club Antigua is a very special resort with one of the island’s best beaches and a very loyal following. I look forward to the resort’s continued success as the ‘Most Laid Back All-Inclusive in Antigua.’”
The resort is located on 30 scenic acres with over a quarter mile of white sand beach, just 30 minutes away from the V.C. Bird International Airport and capital city of St. John’s. It is immediately adjacent to another popular Elite Island Resort, The Verandah Resort & Spa, and Devil’s Bridge National Park. With 180 well-appointed rooms in five different categories, the resort offers a colorful and authentic Caribbean holiday. This quiet oasis offers the best of Antigua…casual, relaxed and unhurried.
Pineapple Beach Club Antigua will continue to operate on an All-Inclusive basis, which includes meals, snacks, beverages, resort activities, nightly entertainment, non-motorized watersports, land sports, fitness center, and all local taxes and service charges. Optional extras include spa treatments, tours and excursions, gift shop souvenirs, laundry services, local transfers, private dinners and romance packages.
An important change to note is that, effective immediately, Pineapple Beach Club Antigua will no longer accept new bookings with children. All bookings must be adults only, age 16 years and above. Bookings made prior to June 7, 2016, which include children under 16 years of age will be honored at Pineapple Beach Club Antigua through August 31, 2016. Bookings with children under the age of 16 with dates of stay that include September 1, 2016 onward will be re-protected at The Verandah Resort & Spa at the original rate sold under Sandals management.
