Hermitage Bay to Add Two New Beachfront Suites
Hermitage Bay, a luxury resort overlooking a beautiful stretch of beach situated on the west coast of Antigua, is adding two brand-new Beachfront Suites to keep up with an unprecedented demand for rooms, particularly in the high season. These two new suites will increase the number of spacious, freestanding suites from 25 to 27. Currently there are only 5 Beachfront Suites, not nearly enough to keep up with the requests for this particular accommodation, which offers beach access and stunning views. The new suites will easily blend into the 140 acres of lush undeveloped land and the resort will maintain its private, secluded feel. The two new suites should be completed in time for the holiday season at the resort and will commence building while the resort is closed this fall.
“Our Beachfront accommodations have always been popular due to the unobstructed views of the ocean and close proximity to the beach,” said Andy Thesen, Owner of Hermitage Bay. “We are adding two more because we have ample room to do so without affecting the privacy and natural beauty of the resort and we’d also like to even out the ratio between Hillside Suites, currently numbering 17, and Beachfront Suites of which we previously had only five. This should also help to ease some of demand for room nights in general, which is great news for our guests.”
All the suites at Hermitage Bay feature a stylish décor, rich walls and soft ambient lighting and the new suites will be built in exactly the same style for continuity and sense of place. The suites will be constructed from purpleheart, greenheart and other woods from sustainably managed forests in Guyana. The décor is one of natural luxury – pristine white linens, ivory cushions and creamy white walls soften the rich hues of the wooden floor and furniture. Each suite will have a spacious, split-level, open-plan living and sleeping area, ensuite bathroom, outdoor shower and covered sun-deck with a small dining area, double day bed and plantation chairs.
