About Blue Waters

Blue Waters Beach Hotel, as it was originally known, is one of the longest established hotels in Antigua and first opened its doors for business in 1960 as a sixteen-bedroom hotel. At that time, it was owned and operated by Mr Osmond Kelsick, who had the distinction of being the only Antiguan squadron leader in the Royal Air Force during World War II.

By 1984, Blue Waters had grown to 45 rooms when it was sold to Englishman Mr Ronald Randall, who had fallen in love with the property whilst on holiday with his family. Today, Mr Randall and his family work closely with the management team to ensure Blue Waters maintains its welcoming atmosphere that can only be achieved in a family owned property.

2010 marked the hotel’s 50th anniversary, which has 116 rooms and suites plus 4 villas. Over the years Blue Waters has won multiple awards, including the World Travel Award for the Leading Hotel in Antigua & Barbuda and Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Award for its contribution to the island.
